Episode 8 - Donating Our Hair
Short hair is definitely a great look for this season. And Holly from Help Our World gives you the perfect reason to get that haircut you have been wanting! In this episode, she tells us about her own experience donating hair to Locks of Love as well as some other excellent websites to check out for more information.
Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that has been around since 1997. In fact, this year is their 10th anniversary! They take many types of hair, including layered and curly, even permed and dyed, and construct them into wigs for kids undergoing chemotherapy and other hair-loss medical conditions. Did you know that anyone can donate? Men, women, young, old, all colors, and all races. Helping is not just limited to hair donation either. Other ways to help include becoming a volunteer, making a financial donation, or help spread the word.
